Default spot and stalk

Is a DIY spot and stalk hunt realistic in the Crazy's of Montana?

Why not? The only real issue with hunting the Crazy mts is access. What do you want to chase?

I am thinking of trying a spring hunt in 2011. Have been looking into it since I watched the show last year. Where is a good area to base camp? It would be nice if the wife had a stream to fish, while I was out hunting all day. Going Bear hunting in Pa again this year, but have always wanted a western bear hunt.

I am sure you can find bears there. And much of it is open enough to spot an stalk.

Just need to be careful in some areas, as there is a lot of checkerboard of public land private, making access somewhat of an issue. I know of at least one B&C blackie killed in the Crazies.
