I and 5 others were South of Craig for Season 4! Got 5 elk total and seen quite a few. Certainly a unusual year compared to others. The snow we got didn't move the elk generally speaking.
Very little shooting compared to past years. Elk and deer were definitely higher then usual. On a side note I will say the bucks were really chasing. Never saw so much tending and actual breeding
as I witnessed this year. Talking with others I believe we were very fortunate to harvest what we did. Probably my best hunt was one evening while walking up an open meadow I saw a Bobcat, a Mountain Lion, and a weasel. Not to mention all the deer and elk in the surrounding area. Although I never fired a shot that evening it will burn a lasting memory in my bank!
