0922160840.jpg0922161108.jpgHad a blast in CO this year. Ended up with my first bull my last morning of the hunt. Heard him bugling while we were walking in. Set up in the edge of a small meadow with aspens up above. Made a few cow calls and my buddy bugled a few times back behind me 70 yards. He came screaming of the hill. I stopped him at 35 and put a arrow in his chest right at crease of sholder. Didn't get very good penetration and he ran back up to the tree line and stopped at 60. I rushed and tried to get another one in him and got very lucky. All i had was back half and hit him in the ham. Blood instantly poured out and sprayed the aspen in the picture. Had a massive blood trail for 150 yards and there he was. Im not thrilled with my shots but it all worked out in the end. Heading back to VA now with a freezer full of meat!

No clue why pics from my phone always go on sideways.

A few more pics.

Still not straight.

Congrats, on a good Colorado bull. It wouldn't feel the same if it happened the first day.

Man that is an awesome hunt. You really laid a blood splatter on that aspen. Good job way to keep after them until the end......
Your gonna eat good this winter. Congrats

Muzzy 4 blade. I just got lucky and hit that big artery.

I shot my first antelope buck with an MX4 and it died quickly, I could just never get them to fly as accurately as I wanted. Muzzys are great broadheads, though. I shoot 125 grain Phantoms with my recurve.
