Just a friendly reminder to be careful out there. We experienced bad flash flooding last night in NE Iowa and it happens very fast, on streams that are dry one minute and 6 feet deep the next. I took these pictures this afternoon, after the water started residing on Paint Creek in Yellow River State Forest and a small county owned fishing access.

I hear its bad. My trailer should be good (Im on the high side of the camp) But Im a little worried about the other trailers. A few years back we had 11 inches in one night. A few things got washed away but no trailer damage.

Geller where did you take those pictures?

Big paint in yellow River Forest and by Waterville. I was in Lansing and new Albin early this morning and the Upper Iowa was still rising. The Big river looks like chocolate with tons of grass

Was going to head up there this weekend. Maybe I should stay home and wait until things settle down. Looks like more rain coming this weekend.
