Hey Randy,
Just wanted to say thanks for a great show and the variety of topics and speakers. I didn't grow up with guns in the house so completely rules out hunting. Due to your podcast along with the meateater podcast I've decided to start up. Looking forward to my first hunt this fall which is a backcountry backpack hunt. With that in mind two topics I am curious about are:
What do you consider the absolute necessities in a pack/what you carry?
Could you discuss a time when you had a shoot/no shoot situation where you decided to not shoot which led to the loss of that animal?
