We have a new Gallery and been working on it for a few weeks now.
I Have it up and going right now.
There might be some problems with the importation of all the pics from the old gallery so we will need your help. Brian at vb advance wrote the script to transfer all the pics. All pics came over that I can tell. however like all importation some things may have a few bugs.
Gallery owners:
we need you to go through your galleries and check the pictures, make a note of any pictures that are not yours and any problems. Do not Delete ANYTHING from your albums wether the pics are yours or not Just give me a list of the problems you find.
I also need the people who have a gallery that doesnt have your username next to it to email me what gallery is yours so I can put a user name to it.
I have a few changes to do in the gallery as to what its going to look like.
Any ideas you have please let me know on this thread. this way I can pass them to the people that designed VB gallery and they might be able to add it into the next release.
Why the Change?
It will be easier for members to create a gallery rather then having to wait on someone to make one for them.
you wont have to log into a different program.( just log in once as a member like you do now and you can go directly to the gallery)
As soon as I add a few other things to the gallery you will be able to click right on the picture when your righting a post and not have to copy and paste the whole address it will do it much more easily.
there will be a gallery link in your profile so when someone wants to view your gallery they will just be able to click on your profile and see the link.
Will there be a charge?
Yes. its a small fee and it helps offset the cost of running hunttalk. You will get a certain amount of space to where you can host your pictures and not worry about them not having broken links.
Oscar will explain more in detail to how this is going to work.
Like all new things, some people wont like them and some will its just a fact of life. I didnt like the gallery layout at first either but since I have been working on it I like it. This is very new so any ideas you have to make it look better will be appriciated.
There are options on this gallery that are pretty cool and it also works as a regular forum as well ( ie can responde to pictures just like a thread, will give the camera date right off the image, members can rate threads etc.) I have most options turned off right now.

please dont add anymore pictures to the old gallery. Any pictures that are not in the new gallery let me know or upload them into the new gallery.
Oh yeah one other thing.
Some of you will find red x's in your galleries these are not missing pics but pictures that were on the sub albums in the old gallery, the main pics are still there just not duplicates. You can delete all the red x's you find in your gallery.
Some pictures that had the same name as other pics in different members galleries might have gotten transfered to a different gallery. DONT DELETE them just let me know which ones.
