tell me what you don't like about it.... I see 2 really think it blows, 1 person thinks I'm a stud (Ohhh wait, that was me ;)), and it's almost split on the Little better or a little worse then the old version.....
Jsut wondering WHY people don't like it if they don't. Is it jsut because it's new and you're used to an different platform ? I know, change sucks :D

I like it. I think it is better than the old version and seems to have more bells and whistles. I think once the bugs are all worked out and everyone gets used to it, it will by dynamite.
It's new, it's not familiar. Give it a few weeks and ask the question again. (I voted "a little worse", but that'll probably change).
Oh yeah, get rid of those text boxes that pop up when you put the cursor over a topic. ;)

I just voted that I like it a little better. I like the 'fly bys' on the main forum page... (of course I work in the IT business, so nerdy things like that impress me....)
Keeping-up with the latest technology can be tough, but you're continuing to do a great job on the site Moosie! As I've said before, I don't post much but am a daily viewer; There's always something that makes me smile on this site.... ;)
How did the overall conversion to the new format go? These things can be a real b_tch sometimes....

I agree that the bells and whistles are for those who have time to play around on a puter. They will only be used by a few ferrys and yuppies :D . :p
I dont like the look of the board. Sometimes things are ugly and sometimes they arent. Some like eminem and some think he is a fag.
The "change" arguement is okay for somethings and sometimes it is just a lame arguement. For me using it in a arguement for this is lame. :eek:
But truthfully it doesnt matter what I think. If Moosie likes it that is all that matters. ;)

thanx everyone that comented. Even the bad reviews. Keep them coming, the reviews, not nessisarily the bad ones... Everyone but JB of course, Anyone that likes the Old Green board should be shooting a LAzzeroni or something !!!
I will ask the question again down the road. Hell, I'm jsut getting used to it myself. There were alot of Passwords that didn't go through (or people forgetting them, but I let them think it was me ;)). I sent out a Global Email today to remind people we're still alive.... Hell, I got over a Dozen Emails from guys I haven't heard from in over a year.
Ohhh, And Someone with the Name PAWS or smething telling me to take his name of the Email list and not to respond to the request.... (Make note to that, Moosie).
MAybe I should do Monthly "HELLO, HUNTTALK.com STILL LOVES YOU" Emails to keep people reminded...... ;)

I liked the contrast on the old format better- easier to read IMO

I put that I liked it a little less... however, that could change once I get used to it. Any chance we can get the option to change the board skins???? This bright color is a little much.. I agree with JB..what about the old green version?
We are going to make it look like the other board as far as color , if no one has objections, I personally dont like the brightness ither. it looks to gay

Delw is it possible to go from the chat to the forums and back to the chat without logging out and back in?? Iwas in there last night and somebody was looking for someone so I went back to the forums but then couldn't get back in??? Said somebody under that username was already logged on. Being me but I had to log out then log back in again??:confused:
The only way to do this is open another window.
it usually takes 1-5 mins to log back into chat after you have logged out.
Has there been alot of people in chat?
I just checked it wehn I click the chat window it opens up a new window so I had this thread open and a chat window.
so you just need to switch windows if you want to be on both, there should be no reason to log in and out of chat to read the board.

Seems to be ok now. Last night, well my night your day there were a few new posters in there. Moosie's cousin was one from Switzerland so I went out to try and see if Mojave or Moosie were on then couldn't get back in. Looks great though.:cool:

I don't like that I'm unable to get a quick look at "last 24 hour" posts, being in different time zone, I,m now missing a lot of posts eg: Greenhorns posts with photos of the big trophys he got this year, I still can't find it.

didferent times zones dont affect viewing of the posts for the last 24 hours.
The newposts button above will show you all the posts you havent looked at yet.
I still cant find a veiw recent posts like mossie talked about.

They shouldn't be. If you are looking for a specific one, run a search. Even if they are not on the screen right now, they should be accessible.
We didnt loose any old post, according to the number when we imported the data they were all accounted for.
The posts defaults are set for the last 30 days, but the search engines should find them. if Not I can put the post defaults to all

Very Nice! I've not been around in a while, largely because the old site software had issues running on my work computer, and I'm without a computer at home for the moment. This looks great! A fishing site I frequent changed to the new vBulletin a while back too, nobody there was real excited at first, but don't worry - it grows on you, I like it much better. Great site Moosie, i'll be comin' around more now.

Damn......a guy can't even go hunting in peace without a couple of "spuds".....oh excuse me....they prefer "studs" changing everything while I'm gone.....glad I live far eniugh away or they would be sniffin around the house as well. Anyway, glad to see we are trying to keep up in the teckie wars....Good Show!
Any plans to have the quick links to individual posts within the thread at the top of each thread?

If we had that and a lins of the Posts in order of the last 24 hours I'd be the Happiest Clam in the world :D

Oak, at the top of the thread there is a link that says Display Mode. Click on that and then click on Hybrid Mode.
Hmm...the bad thing about that setting is that it doesn't take you to that part of the thread, it only displays that particular post. Am I missing something?

you can Click on the link next to the persona name. Then You can keep nitting Next to Scroll through the posts.... Not exactly the same but close ?

None of the above. But, its really awesome. You guys did a great job. You got everything over here, just about, and it has lots of good functioning options. Excellent!!!
