Zeiss scopes..Conquest

I'm fixing to plunk down 400 bucks for a Zeiss Conquest 3-9X40. The conquest series is supposedly made for the US market..1inch tubes.

400 bucks seems awfully cheap for kraut glass.
I wonder if they cut corners for the "american market"?

Anyone have any experience or know someone who has one?

I own two of them, a couple friends of mine own one as well, I consider them to be Top Flight, well worth the money, the models with the side A.O's are fantastic, I have one of my 3-9 Conquests on my main Coyote Rig (.17DT) I rate them right with my Swarovski 1" tubes as equals, at much less cost.
