Leupold/Gilman Red-Dot Scope?

Just wondering if anyone has used one of these or a similar product. I'm looking for a scope for my Ruger 454, and think these look pretty slick. How do they handle the big recoil? Or would you go with a traditional pistol scope?

Red dots suck for hunting, end of discussion. Just go out on a misty day and try to see through the glare! For target shooting they may be o.k..
