I think most everyone has a standard list like that...
I'd like the Orxy (GEMSBUCK), Kudu, Blesbuck, warthog... AND I really like the Red HArdabeast/blue heartabest too... Impala jsut to get one (Aren't they like flies there smilies/wink.gif ) Or maybe a Zebra...
On trip two I'd like a Cape Eland and Nyala, maybe a bush pig or duiker or Stienbuck or Girraffe !!! Or Spring buck or..... OK OK ... We'll save the long list for after I've been there smilies/biggrin.gif

Any of the spring or winter months are good for me. Don't schedule around me though. The only animals that really interest me over there are the ones I can't afford, Kudu,Sable and Leopard. But I'll whack anything that gets within bow range.........

Yep, Moosie, I think I'll be up for Africa in '05. smilies/biggrin.gif But look at what I'm not interested in, and I will save for the good ones. (Yeah, right - I'll be like Oscar on his first Texas hunt with a blank check! smilies/eek.gif Shooting first and asking "How much?" later.)

Shoot cheap stuff. You get to shoot more. That's tthe fun part.
Early spring or winter I'd be willing to make that trip. If at all possible.

Oscar,
I am not sure which outfitters you are talking to or what their costs are but "some" offer package deals whereby you can swap out the animals in the package you don't want for others that you do want - of equal trophy cost value. That allows for diversification from different hunters. I see where "some" advertise where, even within a package deal, no kill, no pay.
Just some options to look at. Then again, you probably already knew all this.
Anybody offered a good group airfare rate yet?
Don smilies/smile.gif
I could fit in a suitcase if necessary to cut down on costs? smilies/confused.gif smilies/wink.gif

guys if ya can, get a credit card that gives you airmiles for each buck you spend.
right now, it takes 40,000 miles for a delta ticket international to jberg, south africa.
because of incentives, you can easily earn a ticket over 2 years.......but ALWAYS pay off your balance smilies/smile.gif
Thats how I got my airline tickets for my first trip there and now I have enough to go back, just gotta save some more for the trophy fee on a leopard smilies/mad.gif
But I'll get there soon smilies/wink.gif
