I'm kicking around the idea of hunting antelope in Wyoming before I head south. I was hoping I might be able to squeeze a hunt in this year. I didn't put in for any tags (well...bighorn), so what are some of my options...pay a trespass fee and hunt private property or DIY public land hunt? I'll be thumbing through the Wyoming regs in the next few days, but figured I would throw the question out there for starters. I'm not sure this is doable this late in the game and without drawing a tag.

Thanks for any info! In the meantime, I'll be scouting the archery only areas here in southern Idaho, but I'm not so sure I'll find anything in at least the 14" range.

The WY game and fish has posted a list of leftover antelope licences: http://gf.state.wy.us/wildlife/hunting/license/leftover/loantelope/

Obviously the leftovers are in areas that have little public access. Others could probably give you a better idea than me regarding how hard it is to gain permission.
