Here's a couple photos of the lobster, before and after.

I got a series of close up stills of him in mid-August with a Nikon D-100 and 420mm lens. This is just one of several good ones. I was at 35 yards, in perfect light, on a tripod. Arrowing him was a lot tougher, just due to some serious buck fever. I'm glad is was a close shot. Will have some great photos of more antelope hunting (from this past weekend). I arrowed 2 more does and a friend took a buck yesterday.

The elk won this year during my archery hunt. They gave me a lot of chances and I screwed them up. My 300 Mag is going to hopefully get some action this November as I may not get out much again this month.

Here's a sunrise at the Lobster's Den..

Thats one giant antelope !

I'm sure the bulls will rest easier knowing they get to keep on breathing another month or two.

Congratulations ( once again )

I'm not sure if killing the lobster was as exciting as bowhunting with John Wayne and Forest Gump. That's something I doubt I will ever forget.

Way to go Green. Obviously your taxidermist is a very busy guy.

Then again, I am guessing, what would be a trophy of a lifetime to most of us probably endes up in your rafters.

Don't tell me your lucky underwear finally let you down with the archery elk. smilies/wink.gif

Any chance of the size please Mr Horn ? is it about the 15 to 16 inch ,it appears quite wide , will it get penalised for over spread like some of our Deer and chamois do??

I'm not one to BLOW any Secrets butt Greeny was Heading out this Evening to go Elkhunting and Called me. Something about the lobster will score at least 69"... I'm not sure what that means smilies/wink.gif MAybe he was gonig to the BAr for a 69.. I mix things up sometimes ?!?!

But I'm sure he won't mind me sharing that score with you.... HELL... MAYBE I misunderstood him, the phone was going in and out.... So Don't call P&Y with that "OFFICIAL" score yet smilies/biggrin.gif

On the Serious side.. Good luck this weekend punk !!!!

JoseCuervo
09-26-2003, 09:17 PM
That thing is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY bigger than 69. He may be dreamin' of 69, but not with respect to an antelope.... smilies/hump.gif

For reference, here is the Record, at 91 and change...
